About Tony David
My musical journey began in July 1992, where I performed as a solo artist with a repertoire covering Big Band, 50s-60s hits, Country Western, and American Standards. Over time, I expanded my collection to more than 1,500 songs, each rendered in the style of the original artist. A pivotal moment in my career came in 1994 when I won a seven-week singing contest in Colorado, hosted by “The Glass Menagerie.” This victory earned me a six-year engagement with their Vegas Show Band at the iconic Aurora Summit Steak House.
In 2000, I ventured out on my own, continuing to perform at the Aurora Summit and various private venues and nightclubs throughout the Denver Metro area. The following year, I formed the band “WildeFire” with Pamela Hughes, who remained for seven years, later joined by Kerry Edwards. Together, we toured extensively across the United States, sharing stages with renowned Nashville performers such as Larry Gatlin, Pat Boone, Pam Tillis, Gary Morris, Darryl Worley, Eddie Raven, Michael Martin Murphey, and Craig Morgan. We were also privileged to perform with distinguished Nashville singer-songwriters, including Frank Myers, Brett Jones, Billy Montana, Danny Wells, Rob Crosby, Jimmy Nichols, and many others.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of performing for several political dignitaries, including VP Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, Tom Tancredo, Mike Coffman, Eric Trump, and others. One of the highlights was performing at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, for 2,500 military personnel and their families, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Gold Star Families. Additionally, I had two cruises named after me, the Tony David WildeFire Celebrity cruises, sponsored by AAA Colorado Travel Department, which took us to the Caribbean and Bermuda.
My dedication to giving back led me to serve on the Board of Directors for “Make A Wish Colorado” for seven years, followed by a 19-year tenure on the Board of Directors for TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors). In 2015, I was awarded the “Tony David Volunteer of the Year” by TAPS, an honor that has since become an annual tradition at the TAPS Celebrity Classic in Denver, Colorado. In recognition of my contributions, I was also named “Man of the Year 2018” by Greenwood Villager and honored by “Blacktie Colorado” in 2017.
In 2022, I relocated to Cape Coral, FL, where I now perform 5 to 6 shows a week in Southwest Florida. My regular venues include Hooked Island Grill (both locations), Cabbage Key, Moose Lodge 1899, Moose Lodge 2199, Eagles, Cape Cabaret, The Landings, Gulf Harbor, American Legion Fort Myers, Elks Fort Myers, Colonial Country Club, Legends Country Club, Old Hickory Country Club, Useppa Island, Boca Grande, Gasparilla Inn, and many others. The warm reception and support from the locals have made this transition the best decision of my life, and I have built a wonderful fan base in SWFL.
